and so i realized...

my "growing-up" weren't about me

in putting responsibilities afront

i forego of my own wishes

until it became difficult to distinguish

"is this what i need?"

or "what they need?"

but i will be me

whether i will be accepted for my choices or not.

whether i will be liked for my decisions or not.

whether friends leave me behind

or stay by my side.
